Course Overview
-Who Is This Course For?
This course is for young people in communities around the world who want to make impact.
If you are young and passionate or even angry about global changes such as climate change, poverty, unemployment or injustice take a seat and lets dive into this course. This course was designed by a young instructor who at a young age took together with her friend took action to bring change in their community whiles still in college.
What are the Learning Objectives Of This Course?
-To inspire young people to make impact in their communities
-To help youth gain leadership skills and lead in their communities
-To help course participants gain self-confidence and take action to solve problems in their communities by taking initiatives
-To grow future leaders who are solution minded and who will positively influence other youth.
Where And When Does the Learning Take Place?
This Course is totally online. There is no special software for this course. However course participants/students will need a computer and internet access. Students will also need a digital camera or camcorder to capture or record specific challenges they wish to share on their blogs and plan taking initiatives to solve.
Students can login at anytime and assess the course.
Communication and interaction with course instructor is via Skype, Emails, Phone calls or Blog posts.

Interaction with peers is highly encouraged in this course. Communicating with your partner (course participants have been paired) and blog post comments are great opportunities to learn and share with other course participants / students.
Digital Journaling
Though this course does not require any technical expertise, students will learn and be required to create a digital journal or a blog. Your blog will be your personal space for your journal entry. You will be required to share your blog with your instructor and colleagues by emailing your blog link to your instructor. Course Assignments / Activities
Each Module assignments and activities will be in 3 parts
1. Blog post
2. Sharing your experience with your partner
3. A 'challenge' activity. This course requires each course participant to submit a final project called 'The Challenge Project'.
In each module, you will take simple steps or answer questions which will help you present your final challenge project.
Your 'Challenge project' should viable, one that is solution oriented and you should specify how you intend to sustain the change you wish to see in your community. You will be evaluated based on how you show all of these in your final submission.
GRADING
This course does not have traditional grades. However, to receive a certificate of completion, students/course participants are expected to complete all readings and module assignments or activities plus the final project.
